In an industry often characterized by traditional perspectives, “Represented” emerges as a breath of fresh air—a podcast designed to reshape the dialogue around diversity, equity, and inclusion within healthcare. Produced by Dr. Larry Chu, Director of the Stanford AIM Lab, and originated by Dr. Dominique Arce, “Represented” is not just another podcast; it’s a transformative platform that aims to disrupt the status quo and challenge systemic inequities in the healthcare landscape.
The heart of “Represented” beats with a singular purpose: to create a space where every voice, particularly those that have been marginalized, is heard, celebrated, and acted upon. We aim to do more than just talk; we strive to incite meaningful change. Through engaging conversations with thought leaders and experts, we intend to not only foster understanding but also to empower healthcare professionals and communities to collaborate and enact real-world solutions.
Leading the charge are our dedicated hosts: Dr. Dominique Arce, Princeton pre-medical student Angel Ndubisi, and OHSU medical student Tomoko Wilson. Together, they bring a multi-dimensional perspective to the table—from medical expertise to the fresh outlook of the next generation of healthcare providers. It’s not just about diversity in voices, but also diversity in thought, experience, and insight.
Expect more than just dialogue. Each episode aims to provide actionable insights, spotlighting success stories, practical strategies, and initiatives that inspire our listeners to take meaningful steps in their personal and professional lives. But the conversation doesn’t end there—we’re building a community committed to fostering a more equitable and inclusive healthcare environment.
“Represented” is more than just a podcast; it’s a call to action. As we launch this groundbreaking series, we invite you to be part of this transformative journey. Listen, engage, and let’s make healthcare truly representative, together.
